Pu'ili or Bamboo Rattle
Due to the high demand of our much respected Kumu Hula's, and seasoned hula dancers, we only use bamboo that we harvest on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Our standard size is 20 inches long, with various sizes in width. Smaller handles sell out quickly, but we will do our best to accommodate you.
We also make longer pu'ili's for dancers with longer arms, with no extra charge. Feel free to call us, and let us know what you need.​
There is a 12 step process from start to finish on our Pu'ili's, and we do our best to offer quality implements to our customers.

Implements are made from natural components, which will naturally break down over time. This is normal, and it is beyond our control.
Implements need to be inspected often for hairline cracks, or insects. For hairline cracks, we recommend a small bead of clear, non foaming glue. For insects, treat often to add longevity.
Ohe Hano Ihu, Hawaiian nose flute, are made from bamboo harvested on the Big Island.
